01

The Program

Q01
What is this program?
A formal, DOL-eligible apprenticeship program for current Gridco employees, covering three core tracks — Distribution, Transmission, and Substation. Additional training opportunities to follow in coming months. Graduates receive a portable certificate, recognized industry-wide, not just internally.
Q02
Why does this matter?
Right now only a handful of employees are in a dedicated program despite a large pool of current apprentices doing the work informally. This creates a real, structured path from groundman to general foreman.
Q03
Who's delivering the training and how am I graded?
Gridco is delivering the training internally. We are leveraging a distance learning platform with a in-house competency base. (Meaning, your performance during the program is evaluated live on Gridco crews and tracked through the Gridco LMS system).
